How do I build a mailing list of my fans?
Fans is your own mailing list, kept in your account. Open Profile and choose Fans.
People add themselves. Anyone looking at your public profile can press the fan count near the top — the pill that reads "9 fans" — which opens a short form; they give their name and email, press Become a Fan, and they land on your list — so sharing your profile link is the main way it grows. Until someone does, the page tells you the list is empty rather than showing you nothing.
Fans are not the same as followers. Someone following you on GigXchange is not added to this list - only people who press the fan count and give their email - or people you import - are. See how do I follow someone?
Already have a list somewhere else? Press Import a list and upload a file with a Name and an Email column. There is a template to download if you want the right shape, and anyone already on your list is skipped rather than added twice. Before it imports you see exactly which rows will go in and which are being left out, and why.
You can search the list, and tick anyone you want to take off it. Export CSV gives you the whole list back as a file, so it is yours to take with you.
