How do I change the email address I sign in with?

Open Settings, then Security. In the How you sign in card, Sign-in email shows the address you sign in with now. Choose Change, type the new address under New sign-in email, and choose Send codes.

We send a 6-digit code to your current address and a second one to the new address. Enter them under Current email code and New email code, then choose Confirm change. The codes last 1 hour. If you leave the page and come back within the hour, it picks up where you left off.

Nothing arrived? Check your spam or junk folder first. Once the short countdown on the page finishes, you can choose Send new codes - the new pair replaces both old codes.

When the change goes through, the page tells you that you now sign in with your new address. Use that address from then on, including for resetting your password.

Only for email sign-in. The Sign-in email section appears on accounts that sign in with an email address and password. If you only ever sign in with Google, Microsoft or Apple, it is not shown.
