Bookings & Gigs

How do I accept, counter or decline an offer?

When someone sends you a booking offer it arrives as an offer card in your Messages, and it also appears in your Bookings under Pending.

On the card you can:

  • Accept — you agree the terms. If it is being paid through GigXchange, the deposit is then requested; once it is paid the booking shows Deposit Paid, and it becomes Confirmed when both of you have signed the agreement
  • Amend — send back a counter-offer with a different fee, date or details
  • Decline — turn it down

Countering is normal and expected — most bookings settle within 2 rounds on the fee. Because it all happens in the chat, the negotiation stays attached to the booking rather than scattered across texts and emails.

Offers stay open until the gig date — if the gig day passes with nobody responding, the offer expires. Ask whatever you need to in the chat, but answer the card itself before the day of the gig — an expired offer has to be sent again from scratch.
