The Tyne Bar is a grassroots music venue in Ouseburn, Newcastle with a standing capacity of approximately 100. PA system and vocal mics are provided; bring your own instruments and amps.
The Tyne Bar has been one of Newcastle's favourite independent pubs and live-music venues since it opened in November 1994, sitting on Maling Street in the creative Ouseburn Valley (NE6 1LP). Standing capacity is around 100. It's famous for a laid-back atmosphere and an unwavering commitment to free live music, with the Tyne Bar Sessions open mic running every Wednesday and regular free gigs across genres. Highlights include a signature free jukebox, a strong drinks list and food menu with vegan options, and a celebrated waterside beer garden framed by the redbrick arch of Glasshouse Bridge.
