The Newgate Social is a live-music venue in the heart of Newcastle city centre, on the upper floor of The Gate complex on Newgate Street (NE1 5TG), above The WonderBar and a stone's throw from the historic Mayfair Ballroom. Launched in late summer 2024 and built 'by musicians for musicians', it runs a c. 450-capacity room programming everything from grassroots local talent and underground bands to established touring acts and metal/rock tribute shows (recent bills include a Rammstein tribute and a Mötley Crüe tribute).
