The Lubber Fiend is a non-profit, DIY music venue and bar at 81 Blandford Street in Newcastle upon Tyne (NE1 3PZ), which opened in May 2022. The main room holds 140 (with an expansion to 200 planned) and runs an eclectic programme that goes well beyond gigs — local and independent bands and DJs share the calendar with stand-up comedy, film nights, radio broadcasts, workshops and pub quizzes. It leans heavily towards underground and independent acts across punk, noise, indie, folk and experimental music (past bills include Wolfbastard, Ora Cogan and Fuzzy Lights).
