King Street Social Club is a working men's club at Phoenix House, 27 King Street, North Shields, Tyne and Wear (NE30 1BZ), which runs live music out of its Concert Hall. The hall is home to Are You Affiliated, the grassroots music venue founded by DJ and producer Geoff Kirkwood (Man Power) and run out of the club, which has brought some of the biggest and most interesting acts in alternative and electronic music to the post-industrial town of North Shields while the club keeps its everyday social operations going. Recent dates include Mike D and 5D on 3 June 2026 with The North Sea Weekender, and the low-ceilinged room is known for getting hot and packed. It also hosts gigs every weekend across a diverse range of covers, rock, pop and tribute acts, with friendly staff, a relaxed no-dress-code atmosphere and affordable drinks: a reinvigorated community social club that has become a genuine grassroots live-music hub on the North Shields scene.
