Hyde ‌‌‍Park Book Club sits at the heart of Leeds' creative scene at 27-29 Headingley Lane (LS6 1BL), in a converted disused petrol station on the edge of Hyde Park. It opened as a cosy café in 2015 and has grown into an events-led, pan-arts venue across two floors — serving food and drink, selling books and records, and programming a genuinely eclectic calendar of live music, jazz clubs, spoken word, theatre, exhibitions, debates and club nights. There are two performance spaces: a main 150-capacity room and a more intimate 45-capacity space. It's a vital grassroots stage for emerging Leeds talent, leaning indie, folk, jazz and electronic, with a PA, guitar amp and piano available for performers. Both originals and covers are welcome.
