Leeds Irish Centre is a live-music, entertainment and activity venue on York Road in the Burmantofts area of Leeds (LS9 9NT). Open since 1970, its main Tara Suite holds up to 800 standing and hosts concerts, dances and sporting events year-round, with the 300-capacity Claddagh Room and the 180-capacity Davitt Bar alongside. It has a long run of traditional Irish folk and rock artists as well as touring international acts: Joe Strummer, Oasis, The Fall and a regular John Martyn have all played here. Traditional Irish music is on in the Davitt Bar on the first Saturday of each month, with a quiz every Thursday, Bingo Lingo on Friday nights and live football, rugby and GAA on the screens.
