The Queens Academy is a newly reopened live-music venue in the Baneswell district of Newport, South Wales, at 19 Bridge Street — the restored former Queen's Hotel. Launched by ex-Newport County footballer Darren Jones together with music promoter Paul Divers, it has come out of the gate built around tribute acts and party-rock cover bands, pitching at an older live-music crowd, with plans to broaden into comedy nights and live-sport screenings (Six Nations rugby) as the pub side develops. The 2026 diary already lists tributes to the Foo Fighters (UK Foo Fighters), Pearl Jam (Pearl Scam), Linkin Park (Meteora) and more, with shows typically running 7pm–11:30pm on weekend nights.
