The Gate is an arts centre and community building on Keppoch Street in the Roath district of Cardiff, housed in a beautifully restored Victorian church - the Grade II-listed former Plasnewydd Presbyterian Church - which reopened as The Gate in September 2004. With a 350-capacity main space, it runs a balanced year-round programme of live music, theatre, dance, singing, visual-arts exhibitions and writing, and hosts everything from touring gigs to weddings, concerts and workshops.
