Merthyr Tydfil Labour Club - known locally as 'The Club of Love' - was founded in 1924 and occupies one of the oldest buildings in the town. A £100,000 refurbishment gave its Concert Hall a state-of-the-art makeover, and the club now runs live entertainment seven days a week: Thursdays in the lounge, Saturdays and Sundays in the main hall, with Friday karaoke from 8pm. The 125-capacity lounge hosts smaller gigs while the main concert hall takes touring tribute and original acts, keeping it one of Merthyr's busiest grassroots live-music rooms.
