The White Lion is a much-loved Heeley free house on London Road, trading as a pub since 1781 and known across Sheffield for free live music all week. Bands play every weekend, with an acoustic blues jam on Monday nights and a regular open mic on Thursdays hosted by Chris Firminger and The Twojays, welcoming musicians of all genres, both professional and amateur. With ten cask ales and ciders, a good whisky list and a dog-friendly garden, it's a proper community music local.
