Alder is a Kelham Island bar and live-music room in Sheffield (S3 8BZ), opened in 2021 inside a converted 1842 Polish factory. It runs free and ticketed gigs at least twice a week across an unusually broad spread — jazz, metal, indie, punk, electronic, blues and alternative, plus regular DJ sets and nights from the likes of Honey Bee Blues Club and Footprints Jazz Club. Artist-friendly to the core: it pays local bands directly for free shows and lets ticketed acts keep 100% of ticket and merch sales.
