The Astoria Centre at Barugh Green near Barnsley is the National Theatre Organ Heritage Centre, run by the volunteer Penistone Cinema Organ Trust around a collection of restored cinema pipe organs — including the Astoria Compton, originally installed at the Astoria Cinema, Purley. The roughly 200-capacity hall hosts a weekly Thursday lunchtime organ concert (music 1pm–2:30pm) plus tea dances and occasional function/variety events. It is South Yorkshire's only dedicated cinema-organ performance venue — not a contemporary rock or band room.
