About This Open Mic
The Night
The White Lion in Heeley hosts Carrie's Open Mic Night every Sunday from 7pm. It's Heeley's prettiest pub — glazed green brickwork and stained-glass windows — and one of its liveliest, with jam sessions and local bands filling the back room most nights of the week.

The venue A traditional pub. Age policy is 18+. Features a full PA system for performers. The music diary also includes a jazz jam on the first Tuesday of the month (8pm), a bluegrass jam on Wednesdays (7.30pm) and a fortnightly Sunday-afternoon Carnival jam (5.30pm).
About The White Lion
The White Lion is a much-loved Heeley free house on London Road, trading as a pub since 1781 and known across Sheffield for free live music all week. Bands play every weekend, with an acoustic blues jam on Monday nights and a regular open mic on Thursdays hosted by Chris Firminger and The Twojays, welcoming musicians of all genres, both professional and amateur. With ten cask ales and ciders, a good whisky list and a dog-friendly garden, it's a proper community music local.
