Saith Seren is Wrexham's community-run Welsh-language centre and pub, occupying the Grade II listed former Seven Stars on Chester Street — a flamboyant late-19th-century public house that still keeps its original music-hall entrance. Closed as a chain pub in 2011, it was reopened in 2012 by a group of locals and is now wholly owned by the co-operative that has run it for over a decade. Music is woven into the place: it hosts regular gigs by Welsh-language and local bands, traditional sessions, and acts as a FOCUS Wales festival stage. As a grassroots, member-backed venue in the heart of the city, it's a natural fit for original songwriters, folk and acoustic performers, and Welsh-language acts.

The Night
Saith Seren is Wrexham's community-run Welsh-language centre and pub at 18 Chester Street in the city centre, and its open mic is the Noson Jamio (Jam Night) every Wednesday from 7pm to 11pm. It runs as a jam rather than a strict slot list - seasoned players and first-timers share the floor in a supportive, bilingual room - and the venue lists every date on its own events calendar, with an RSVP button if you want to flag that you're coming. Saturdays bring local bands, and the pub's other weekly fixtures are darts (Monday, Tuesday and Sunday) and poker on Thursdays. Cask ale, a proper community feel and a Welsh welcome - croeso.
