The Olde England is an end-of-terrace Victorian building on Kettering Road in Kingsley Park, Northampton, converted from a shop into a quirky three-floor real-ale pub. It aims to keep six cellar-conditioned cask ales on at all times and deliberately runs without televisions or loud background music — the live-music focus is a weekly folk night every Thursday, where local musicians play traditional folk on the basement floor, plus a Wednesday quiz from 8:30pm. Dog-friendly and unhurried, it's a genuine grassroots room for folk and acoustic players rather than amplified rock or covers bands.
