The Bank Bar is a traditional Dundee city-centre pub at 7/9 Union Street, housed in a former bank and keeping the bare-board floors, wooden furniture and alcoved tables of an older Scottish city bar. It serves home-cooked food and award-winning real ales, and was named CAMRA Dundee Pub of the Year for both 2025 and 2026. It's one of Dundee's busiest grassroots music pubs: free live music on Friday and Saturday nights showcasing local talent, Dave Webster's open mic — billed as the busiest in Dundee — every Wednesday, a Songwriter's Sunday hosted by Gavin McGinty and friends, and a bluegrass jam session every Monday evening. A PA is provided and both originals and covers are welcome.
