The Source Collective is a cosy, bohemian community arts and live-music venue at Atlas Works on Nelson Street in Carlisle (CA2 5NB), reviving the legacy of the original Source as a platform for live music, performance and the arts. With a capacity of around 160, it runs a busy grassroots week: open-mic/stage nights every Thursday and Friday from 8pm, and live music and gigs from local bands and musicians every Saturday. The Collective also keeps free rehearsal/creative space available for anyone needing somewhere to write, rehearse or create — a genuinely artist-first, community-run space rather than a straight pub gig room.

About This Open Mic
The Night
The Source Collective is a cosy, bohemian little live-music space on Nelson Street in Carlisle, and it runs an open mic/open stage every Thursday and Friday from 8pm. The floor is open to anyone willing to share something — a solo slot, original material, covers, or a group jam — making it as welcoming to first-timers as to regular gigging musicians. Relaxed, creative crowd, drink promos through the night, with local bands taking over most Saturdays.
