About Tipsy Toad
The Tipsy Toad is a quirky community micropub at 76 Heaton Road in the Heaton district of Newcastle upon Tyne (NE6 5HL). Small, friendly and well-priced, it has built a loyal local following on craft and international beers, ciders and spirits, plus a packed events calendar — poker nights, pub quizzes, occasional sports in the back room and, the live-music highlight, a weekly Busker's Corner every Thursday that spotlights promising acoustic and singer-songwriter acts from across the North East. There's a graffiti-decorated outdoor area for warmer evenings. As a micropub the live offering is intimate and acoustic-led rather than full-band amplified, making it a welcoming open-stage for emerging Heaton talent.
