The Night
The WonderBar sits inside The Gate complex on Newgate Street, Newcastle (NE1 5TG) — a quirky bar with interactive darts, live sport and a Bierkeller vibe. Its open mic runs every Thursday from 8pm, hosted by James Hedley, with free entry and local talent taking to the stage all night. Turn up, get your name down and have a go — it's a relaxed, welcoming room right in the city centre.
About The WonderBar
The WonderBar is a lively bierkeller-style entertainment venue inside The Gate complex on Newgate Street in Newcastle city centre, open 10am till late seven days a week and packing food, drink, live music and sport under one roof. It runs a Thursday open-mic night plus a weekly line-up of live musicians, with resident DJs every Friday and Saturday. Big indoor sports screens and Newcastle's first interactive darts sit alongside an extensive beer and cocktail list. A high-energy, central party venue for covers, acoustic and party-band acts rather than an original-music listening room.
