About This Open Mic
The Night
Cawthorne Club is a welcoming village social club near Barnsley running a free open mic on the first Sunday of every month, 5pm til 9pm. Hosted by local duo Morris & Watson with Lizzie compering the running order, it's open to everyone — singers with a backing track, musicians, songwriters, bands, comedians and poets all welcome — and a full PA is provided with a professional sound engineer, so you just turn up and play. Non-members are welcome, with a good range of beers, wines and spirits plus food available.
About Cawthorne Club
Cawthorne Club — also known locally as the Tivy Dale Club — is a family-friendly village members' club in the centre of the award-winning village of Cawthorne, near Barnsley, on the edge of Cannon Hall Country Park (minutes from M1 junctions 37 and 38). Trading since 1943, it offers something for all ages: live sport, a snooker table, ample indoor space and a charming wooded gazebo. The events calendar runs regular live music — including open mic nights featuring local singers and bands — alongside pizza, afternoon tea and seasonal events. Membership isn't required to visit, and it's open Wednesday to Sunday.
