We are four into five - guitar, guitar, drums and vocals - writing our first EP and booked into a studio in Salford in the new year. We need a bassist who wants to be part of writing it rather than learning parts we have already demoed. The sound: post-punk and shoegaze with the reverb turned up. Interpol and The National for the rhythm section, Slowdive and Radiohead for everything sitting on top. Bass carries a lot of it, so there is real room to write. The commitment: weekly rehearsals, Monday or Wednesday evening at a room in Salford with a backline already in it - bring your bass and your pedals and nothing else. We are playing roughly one show a month around Manchester and Leeds while we write. Money: honest answer is there is not much yet. Door splits are shared evenly across the band, and that is it until the EP is out. If you want paid function work this is the wrong ad. If you want to build something, get in touch.
