Fees & Payments
How do invoices work?
If a booking is paid through GigXchange, once the booking is fully funded, GigXchange issues the artist's invoice to the payer on the artist's behalf, marked as settled via GigXchange, with nothing separate to pay. For a booking settled privately, the artist gets a draft invoice in Saved when the booking completes, to review and send; nothing is sent automatically. Switch this off with Auto-create after gigs in Invoice details.
Open Invoices from Payments. Along the top are New invoice, From booking, Saved and Received (on a phone, Saved and Received sit behind the › arrow).
Making your own
- Press Invoice details (on a phone, the gear icon at the top right) and add your business, bank and tax details once. VAT columns only appear if you choose VAT registered under Tax & extras.
- In From booking, tap a confirmed or completed booking to fill in the details. A booking tagged Paid via GigXchange already has its invoice. Or start blank in New invoice.
- Add the payment terms and due date, add lines with Add Line Item, and press Save.
- To send it, use the row of icons next to the Invoices title. Share invoice (three connected dots) lets you Email your client or send it to A GigXchange member.
Tracking it
In Saved, each invoice shows Draft, Sent or Paid. Press Mark Sent, then Mark Paid, as things happen; Unpay puts it back to Draft. These do not move any money. A member you sent it to sees the new status, and Unpay takes it out of their Received list. Invoices GigXchange issued carry an Auto badge and cannot be edited.
Received holds invoices sent to you. Open one with the eye icon (on a phone, tap the invoice).
Organiser accounts only have Received.
