Is GigXchange free to use?

Yes — creating an account, building a profile, messaging and browsing are all free. There are no monthly subscriptions and no hidden charges.

Charges only apply when money moves through the platform. If you choose to pay for a booking through GigXchange, there is a 5% booking fee added on top and paid by the booker, and in return the money is held securely until the gig is done. If you settle privately — cash, bank transfer, your own arrangement — there is no fee at all.

The same 5% applies to event ticket sales and to tips.

One thing worth knowing before you pay: the 5% booking fee is not refunded if a booking is cancelled after payment. The rest of the money follows the cancellation rules.
