The Tung Auditorium is Liverpool's modern 400-seat concert hall, housed within the University of Liverpool's Yoko Ono Lennon Centre on the corner of Grove Street and Oxford Street (opened March 2022). Designed by Ellis Williams with acoustic engineering by Arup, it seats up to 400 with stage space for a 70-piece orchestra and adjustable acoustics — built for solo, chamber, choral and orchestral music but equally at home with jazz, folk, pop and electro-acoustic and experimental work. It has hosted the Liverpool Philharmonic Choir among others, and is a fully professional, staffed performance space rather than a grassroots bring-your-own-PA room.
