The Shipping Forecast is a much-loved bar and live-music venue at 15 Slater Street in Liverpool's Ropewalks (L1 4BW). It spreads across several spaces: a main bar floor for craft beer, food, sport, quizzes and Sunday roasts; a mezzanine 'Top Deck' hired out for private functions, art exhibitions and screenings; and an intimate, brick-walled basement called 'The Hold' that's the heart of its music programme — on-the-up bands, DJs and club nights.
