Pier Head is Liverpool's flagship open-air concert site, a stretch of the Mersey waterfront framed by the world-famous Three Graces. Since 2021 it has been the home of the On the Waterfront festival, a four-day live-music series that draws upwards of 40,000 people each June. The 2026 edition runs Thursday 18 to Sunday 21 June with headline sets from Paul Weller, Snow Patrol, Red Rum Club and Cream Classical, each night ticketed as its own separate concert. This is a large-scale outdoor staged event space rather than a year-round club, programming rock, indie, pop and classical across the long midsummer weekend against one of the UK's most striking backdrops.
