About This Open Mic
The Night
USC Open Mic runs on the last Wednesday of each month at 8pm in the Lounge at Ulster Sports Club, an easy-going three-floor music bar on High Street in Belfast city centre. Hosted by artist Ria Timkin — the only open mic in Belfast run by a female artist — it champions original music and welcomes performers of all genres for a night of music, networking and fun. A genuinely supportive, community-minded room; come down, play your own songs, and meet the city's music scene.
About Ulster Sports Club
The Ulster Sports Club sits at 96-98 High Street in Belfast city centre, relaunched by the Beannchor Group as one of the city's newest live-music rooms inside a historic building. It runs an eclectic programme — everything from live bands and touring acts (The Nightingales, Katie Gregson-MacLeod, Jon Spencer have all played) through to comedy and techno DJ nights — alongside its day job as an easygoing craft-beer pub with a beer garden, pool tables and live sports screens. Capacity is around 100 and the venue trades from midday until 3am, making it a flexible city-centre spot for grassroots gigs and club nights alike.
