The Night

The William Walker is a Fuller's pub right by Winchester Cathedral on The Square, hosting a weekly open mic every Tuesday from 9pm to midnight. It's a friendly, music-focused night (there's a dedicated William Walker Open Mic SoundCloud of past sets), with the pub also doing live music on Friday and Saturday evenings. To grab a slot, email wwopenmic@gmail.com or contact host Dan HM on 07760 428329 — or just come along.

About The William Walker

The William Walker is a Fuller's pub and restaurant at 34 The Square, Winchester, in the very shadow of the cathedral and named for the diver-hero William Walker who saved its foundations. It hosts live music every Friday and Saturday from 9pm, with various rotating artists, plus open-mic nights, alongside modern craft beers, cask classics, cocktails, wine and fresh food. The polished brass-topped bar and historic diving décor give it a stylish yet unpretentious feel. A house PA supports the regular weekend gigs.
