About This Open Mic
The Night
Sam's Open Mic is a weekly Wednesday session at The Wheatsheaf, a pub and restaurant on West Street in the centre of Farnham. It's a free, walk-up night that welcomes local musicians and first-timers alike for a relaxed mid-week play. The town-centre location and regular weekly slot make it a dependable fixture for Farnham's open mic crowd.
About The Wheatsheaf
The Wheatsheaf is a Grade II listed pub in the heart of Farnham, trading under the name since the mid-18th century. Music is a regular fixture: Sam's open mic runs every Wednesday evening, and Sunday afternoons bring swinging jazz with the Vic's Jazz Friends Quartet plus a jam where visiting musicians and singers are welcome to join in. With a good restaurant alongside, it's a relaxed, welcoming home for both newcomers and seasoned players.
