About This Open Mic
The Night
Borough Beer House runs a free open mic on the first Thursday of every month, 8pm till 11pm, in the centre of Farnham. House gear is provided — bring your own instrument (and your own mic if you prefer) — and solos, duos and trios are all welcome across acoustic, blues, folk, jazz and the odd sea shanty. You can rock up on the night or sign up ahead by email, socials or popping in; as one regular puts it, it's a "laid back, but musically engaging audience… people listen to you."
About Borough Beer House
Borough Beer House is Farnham's first dedicated beer house, opened in December 2023 by life-long local publicans inside the Grade II listed former Bailiff's Hall — a characterful 1674 building in the historic Town Hall Buildings that won the 2025 CAMRA Pub Design Award for its conversion. Behind the bar are 18 keg lines and 6 cask hand pumps serving an ever-changing list from the UK, Belgium and beyond, alongside pizzas, sharing boards and bar snacks. The events calendar keeps live performance ticking over with open mic nights on the first Thursday of each month plus further events on the second and fourth Wednesdays. With an in-house PA it's an intimate, beer-led room well suited to acoustic and singer-songwriter sets.
