The Night

The Steamworks is one of Sheffield's best-loved live-music spaces, an 11,000 sq ft industrial-chic venue with a licensed bar, and every Monday it hosts an open jam run by Delaney's Music. Doors open at 7pm with the sign-up list opening at 8pm, and it's a proper full-band setup — a great PA, a drum kit and back-line are all provided, so you can genuinely just turn up and play. It's free, friendly and open to all levels, making it a brilliant first jam for newer players.

About The Steamworks

The Steamworks is an 11,000 sq ft event space and cultural hub in a converted industrial warehouse on Randall Street in Highfield, Sheffield — named for the steam joinery that once occupied the site. With incredible natural light, a licensed bar and a rotating network of street-food vendors, it's become one of South Yorkshire's most beloved live-music destinations, hosting everything from bass-forward club sessions and touring DJs to intimate live gigs, stand-up showcases, Edinburgh Fringe previews and tour warm-ups. The room delivers punchy sound and vivid lighting with quick bar service and smooth changeovers between acts. It also hosts weddings, markets and private events.
