The Night

The ‌‌‍Row Barge is a characterful riverside pub (built 1856) with canal moorings on Riverside in Guildford. Its open mic runs every Tuesday from 8pm til late — a very relaxed, friendly night where performers of all abilities are welcome, mostly acoustic sets and local groups. All live music is free to attend, and booking ahead is strongly advised as it gets busy (slots are taken up to a week in advance). The pub also does live music on Saturdays and a jam night on the last Thursday of the month.

About The Row Barge

The ‌‌‍Row Barge is a riverside pub at 7 Riverside in Guildford, dating back to 1856 and sitting right on the Wey navigation with its own boat moorings. Two bars pour a wide range of draught beers, ciders, wines and spirits, and the pub builds its week around music: a weekly open-mic night on Tuesdays and a live band every Saturday, with all live music free of charge. Each summer it stages BargeFest, a full afternoon-and-evening outdoor festival of live music on the riverside (returning Saturday 11 July). Welcoming and informal with a capacity of around 80, it's a reliable grassroots gig and open-mic spot in Guildford.
