The Night

The Hare & Hounds in King's Heath is one of Birmingham's best-loved live-music pubs, and its H&H Open Mic Night runs upstairs in the V2 room, hosted by the Bell Band. It's a Sunday-afternoon affair (roughly monthly, kicking off around 4pm and running to about 8pm) built around folk, americana, bluegrass and country blues — "everything in between" welcome. Entry is free; to grab a performance slot you email Deb at guitar666@icloud.com ahead of time. It's broadly all-ages (14+, with under-16s accompanied), making it a friendly first stage for newer acts.
