About This Open Mic
The Night
The Alvechurch Inn is a former social club turned community pub in the centre of Alvechurch, just outside Birmingham, with sport, weekly live music, DJs, comedy and quiz nights. Its open mic is one of the longest-running in the Midlands and runs on the third Tuesday of every month from 8:30pm until late (around 11:45pm). It's free and properly broad-church — acoustic and electro-acoustic, rock, punk and metal, blues, folk, plus comedy, poetry, storytelling, magic and dance are all welcome. A friendly, anything-goes night for performers of every stripe.
About The Alvechurch Inn
The Alvechurch Inn is a former social club turned community pub in the centre of Alvechurch (Worcestershire, on Birmingham's southern edge), at Radford Road, B48 7LD. It runs a full entertainment calendar: weekly live music and DJ sets, comedy nights, a Wednesday quiz at 8pm, Sunday karaoke and live Sky Sports/TNT sport on the screens. Its monthly open mic lands on the third Tuesday of each month from 8pm, and the upstairs function room hosts occasional bands on Fridays and Saturdays. With a large-format venue and welcoming local feel, it is an accessible stage for covers acts, rock bands and open-mic newcomers in the Alvechurch and south Birmingham area.
