Formed between London and Glasgow, Boxing Club are a five-piece modern British post-punk band emerging through relentless live shows, self-funded releases and a clear artistic identity. Operating entirely independently, the band have spent the last eighteen months developing without a label, management or publishing deal, with every release, show and opportunity driven by the band themselves. Drawing influence from Fontaines D.C., IDLES, The Fall, Joy Division and The Smiths, Boxing Club combine the urgency of modern post-punk with theatrical live performance while carving out a distinctly British voice of their own. Their songs explore politics, class, masculinity, nightlife and modern Britain with equal parts confrontation and vulnerability.
