The Parlour
Edwardian salon turned chamber music venue in Edinburgh's Stockbridge. The Parlour is a 70-seat candlelit room inside a beautifully restored 1905 townhouse — original cornicing, wood panelling, a Steinway Model B grand piano, and the kind of acoustics that make a string quartet sound like a full orchestra. Weekly classical and chamber music Friday and Saturday evenings, monthly jazz piano nights, and occasional spoken word and poetry events. No amplification — the room does everything. Licensed for wine and champagne only. Five minutes walk from Stockbridge and a 15-minute walk from Princes Street and Waverley station.

The Parlour is the most beautiful venue we've ever played. The Edwardian decor, the grand piano, the attentive seated audience — it's everything ambient/post-rock was made for.
