Bookings & Gigs
Is there a compliance checklist for my venue?
Yes, on a venue account. Open Bookings and choose Compliance to open the Compliance Checklist.
Answer eight questions, one at a time: what you run, your maximum capacity, whether you sell alcohol, serve food, employ staff, control the premises, keep customer data and host live music or events. Then press See my checklist.
The checklist holds only what applies to your venue - fire safety, health and safety, licensing, insurance and the rest - grouped by category, with tabs along the top to read one category at a time. Each item says why it matters, how high a priority it is, and links to the official page that sorts it.
As you sort each one, press Mark done and it reads Done. On a ticked item that renews, press + Remind me to set a reminder a year ahead (press the date shown to change it), and GigXchange reminds you before it lapses. The summary at the top shows how complete you are, the Legal must-haves left and the Reminders set.
Everything saves to your account automatically. Reset ticks clears your ticks; Start over clears your answers too.
To print or file it, press the download-arrow icon at the top right of the page header - it has no words on screen; hovering it says Export. Choose Completed checklist (with your ticks) or Blank checklist (to fill in by hand), then press Download. The shield icon beside it opens Martyn's Law Readiness - see does Martyn's Law apply to my venue?
The checklist is guidance for UK venues, not legal advice. Confirm your exact obligations with your local authority and the official sources it links to.
