What is Smart Match?
Smart Match is a three-step search on For You in Explore. You give it a date and a brief, it shows the members who fit, and you send the same offer to up to five of them at once. Venues, promoters and organisers use it to find acts; artists use it to find venues to pitch.
Agent accounts see Smart Match for agents is coming soon instead. You can still book from a profile.
- When: tap a day on the calendar. It must be today or later.
- What: set the location, a minimum and maximum fee (a budget, if you are an artist), and the act or venue type. When finding acts you can also switch on Must have PA, Must have lights or Must have transport. Press Continue.
- Who: the matches for that date. Each card shows its Match score (the number in the corner) and the member's town, fee, kit and rating. Tap cards to pick them, then press Invite (artists see Pitch).
A review window opens. Your search shows at the top as fixed tags; to change them, close the window and edit the search. Next you set the event title, times, fee and set length, then how it is paid: Settle privately or Pay via GigXchange. Organiser invites are always paid through GigXchange.
Each invite lands in that member's bookings to accept, decline or counter, and stays open until the gig date. When one member accepts, the other invites from that same send are declined automatically. Someone you invited in the last 14 days shows as already invited, with the date you can invite them again.
The pill at the top shows how many invites you have left today and this week.
