The Ship Isis is a historic Sunderland pub at 26 Silksworth Row (SR1 3QJ), dating to 1885 and lovingly restored by Jarrow Brewery in 2011 to its Victorian showpiece glory. A serious beer destination — six changing cask ales, more keg lines, two ciders, and its own Wear Beer Brewery brewing in the cellar since August 2023 — it also has a strong live-music side. Upstairs the Vaux Room hosts additional seating and live music at weekends, and the venue has staged Sofar Sounds and independent music nights. Quiz nights and one-off events run throughout the year. An intimate room of around 80, it's a characterful grassroots spot.
