The Cask and Keg is a Scarborough corner pub in a large Victorian villa near Valley Bridge and South Bay - originally the 1970s Cask Inn, long the home of the Scarborough Jazz Club, and reopened in 2025 under new independent management after an extensive renovation. The new owners have kept the emphasis on live music, with the Cask Club and a large downstairs function room and music venue at the rear of the building hosting something most weekends: typically live bands on Fridays and DJ nights, sometimes themed to local events, on Saturdays. The front bar pours six well-priced local cask ales and ten kegs, and the building runs to several rooms linked by arches, a conservatory, a dining room, a pool room and a front beer garden. A PA is provided for an intimate room of roughly 80 capacity.
