About Guild Ale House
Guild Ale House is a grassroots music venue in Preston city centre, Preston. Bring your own PA, mics and instruments.
Guild Ale House books House acts. Both original music and covers are welcome. This listing is part of the Preston venue directory.
Guild Ale House is Preston's first micropub, opened in February 2016 at 56 Lancaster Road, PR1 1DD, a few doors from the Guild Hall complex in the city centre — Lancashire, not London. A cosy real-ale bar with seven changing beers (mainly local or Yorkshire), no jukebox, TV or food, it has a light, airy main room with high ceilings, a small rear lounge and an upstairs lounge. It hosts regular live music: acoustic Sunday-afternoon sessions and an open-mic night every Wednesday, drawing singer-songwriters and folk/acoustic performers. CAMRA Pub of the Year for 2018 and 2020 and a Lancashire Food & Drink Awards winner. An intimate grassroots acoustic room rather than a full-PA stage.
