Chew's Yard is a contemporary food hall, events space and walled garden in central Preston, built into a converted Victorian warehouse and joinery workshop on the historic alleyway off Market Street West, ten minutes' walk from the railway and bus stations. Three interconnected spaces - a food and drinks hall with five independent traders, a versatile events room and a leafy walled garden - carry live music, DJ sets, markets, comedy, book clubs and run clubs. It reopened on Thursday 29 January 2026 with a full weekend of food, drink and entertainment, and now trades Thursday 5pm to 10pm, Friday 11am to 11pm, Saturday 11am to midnight and Sunday 11am to 8pm. Acoustic afternoons from the likes of Steve Cat and Will Procter sit next to DJ sets from Gaz West, Brian Hudson and Fraser Todd. A relaxed, community-minded spot rather than a dedicated gig room.
