About The Stables
The Stables is a grassroots music venue in Wavendon, Milton Keynes with a standing capacity of approximately 400. Bring your own PA, mics and instruments.

The Stables in Wavendon was founded by jazz musicians John Dankworth and Cleo Laine in 1970 in the former stables block of their home, and has grown into one of the UK's busiest dedicated music venues, presenting over 400 concerts and around 250 education events a year. There are two rooms: Stage 1, the Jim Marshall Auditorium, seats around 400, while the intimate Stage 2 studio seats 80 and champions emerging artists. Programming spans jazz, folk, blues, world, classical, acoustic and contemporary pop, with a professional PA and in-house engineering on both stages, and the venue also runs the National Youth Music Camps each summer.
