The New Inn is a small, intimate venue in a Victorian back-street terraced house on Havelock Street, a few minutes' walk from Canterbury Cathedral, St Augustine's Abbey and the bus station, with a standing capacity of around 80. The venue hosts occasional live music and DJs across folk, acoustic, indie and more, and runs beer festivals on the Whitsun and August bank holiday weekends in the pub and its attractive garden. A multi-award-winning real ale pub — local CAMRA Pub of the Year in 2017, 2018 and 2022 and a Good Beer Guide regular — with seven changing beers, a cosy wood burner and a hand-stencilled wooden floor in the main bar. Open until 11.30pm Monday to Thursday and Sunday, midnight Friday and Saturday. Located at 19 Havelock Street, Canterbury CT1 1NP.
