Troxy ‌‌‍is a Grade II listed Art Deco landmark on Commercial Road in Limehouse, East London (490 Commercial Road, E1 0HX). Opened in 1933 as a cinema, the restored Grand Hall now functions as one of the capital's premier large-format live music venues, holding up to around 3,050 for a standing gig (and flexing down to roughly 300 for seated award shows). Since reopening it has staged concerts by The Jesus and Mary Chain, Pixies, Stereophonics, Garbage, Patti Smith, Beady Eye, Jarvis Cocker, Flying Lotus and The Cure, alongside club nights and live events. It is a fully operational, professionally run venue.
