About The Garage

The Garage is a live music venue in Highbury & Islington, London with a standing capacity of approximately 600. Contact the venue for their technical specification and backline.

The Garage books Alternative Rock acts. Both original music and covers are welcome. This listing is part of the London venue directory.

The ‌‌‍Garage is an iconic North London live-music and club venue at 20-22 Highbury Corner (N5 1RD), roughly 100 metres from Highbury & Islington station. Opened in 1993, the main room holds 600 and a 2017 revamp added an intimate 150-capacity upstairs room, The Grace, plus an all-day bar. It has hosted a remarkable roll-call of acts on the way up — The Killers, Jack White, Mumford & Sons, Suede, Wolf Alice, Green Day, Muse, Arctic Monkeys, Franz Ferdinand, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Paramore, Oasis and My Chemical Romance among them. A staple of the touring indie, rock, alternative and punk circuit and a proper grassroots step-up venue, it pairs gigs with regular club nights.
