Heaven is a legendary London live-music club and gay superclub, set in the railway arches on Villiers Street beneath Charing Cross station (WC2N 6NG). Open since 1979 in a converted roller-disco, it's credited with bringing gay clubbing into the mainstream and has shaped London's LGBT scene for over 40 years. Today it's home to Live Music, G-A-Y and Popcorn, with a powerful in-house sound system and dramatic underground character — a 1,000-plus capacity room (up to c. 1,625 for the whole venue) hosting pop, indie, rock and electronic gigs alongside club nights.
